Founder BMB Holidays and Bernard Magee Bridge
Bernard Magee
Bernard Magee is the UK’s best-known bridge teacher and host, and has built up a tremendous following from his regular and highly popular articles in Bridge magazine. He is the author of best-selling interactive tutorial software and DVDs on Acol Bridge available from the Bernard Magee Bridge Shop. Bernard has also published numerous bridge books. Now he is engaged in running his new bridge website, basing the content around videos and live broadcasts. Bernard has been running bridge events for over twenty years; all over the UK, hotels all over Europe and cruises all over the world. He lives in Berkshire with his wife Helen and their son Alfie, who some of you may have met already as they occasionally accompany him on his events.

Gary & Lesley Conrad
Gary and Lesley have been hosting bridge events for over fifteen years, working with both Bernard and his father, and are well known to many of Bernard’s loyal clients. They have hosted more than twenty four cruises and numerous bridge weekends. They enjoy the cruises, socialising with the guests, and have been lucky enough to have visited over forty countries around the world. Gary is delighted to help bridge players up their game; he is completely approachable and stands ready to put any nervous players at ease. His priority is that everyone enjoys themselves during their events. You will rarely encounter Gary without a wide smile and welcome for every guest. Lesley is their social expert and looks after all the scoring and preparation of the hands and makes sure the bridge room is always ready for every session.

Kim Dolman
Kim started playing bridge in his lunch break at work in 1997 and soon developed an enthusiasm for the game. He is a keen advocate of Bernard’s basic and advanced Acol bidding systems. In the last 21 years he has helped at over 60 events covering all the set hands from Bernard’s seminars. Kim is a regular player on BMB Teams events, and he has been running a teaching table at the BMB Saturday morning session on BBO since its inception. He is an EBU-qualified Teacher and Director and a BMB proof-reader. Away from the card table Kim works as a technical consultant, and his career has taken him to Germany, Canada, London, Scotland and Hampshire. He plays chess and is learning Spanish. He also enjoys countryside walks and sight-seeing.

Richard Jones
Richard has lived in Bedfordshire for over 30 years with his wife Sue, where they have brought up their three children. He spent his career in education and his skills of teaching and organising activities will certainly be utilised hosting bridge holidays. Richard learnt to play bridge at the age of 11, but only set foot in a bridge club after retiring in 2016 and soon became fascinated by the game and has taken every opportunity to improve his knowledge. He is an EBU qualified teacher and director and directs regularly F2F and on-line. Representing the county and playing in congresses satisfies his competitive streak but he equally enjoys playing socially with friends. Most importantly he recognises the difference between competitive and social bridge! He is currently teaching a large group of beginners, but has also run refresher courses for improving players, workshops for experienced players and has tutored partnerships keen to improve, not to mention the endless requests for advice he receives from club members by e-mail. He keeps fit and enjoyed running for several years, but his marathon days are behind him! He read’s extensively, enjoys walking and loves travelling and experiencing other cultures. He is confident you will appreciate his hosting and that you will have a sociable and relaxing holiday where everything runs smoothly and all the sessions are appropriately paced and above all enjoyable.
